Ms. Amina J. Mohammed is the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group.
Prior to her appointment, Ms. Mohammed served as Minister of Environment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where she steered the country’s efforts on climate action and efforts to protect the natural environment.
Ms. Mohammed first joined the United Nations in 2012 as Special Adviser to former Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon with the responsibility for post-2015 development planning. She led the process that resulted in global agreement around the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Ms. Mohammed began her career working on the design of schools and clinics in Nigeria. She served as an advocate focused on increasing access to education and other social services before moving into the public sector, where she rose to the position of adviser to four successive Presidents on poverty, public sector reform, and sustainable development.
Ms. Mohammed has been conferred several honorary doctorates and has served as an adjunct professor, lecturing on international development. The recipient of various global awards, Ms. Mohammed has served on numerous international advisory boards and panels. She is the mother of six children and has four grandchildren.

Dr. Omotenioye “Tenioye” Majekodunmi is a UK-trained environmental lawyer and climate finance specialist with over 2 decades of leadership across climate governance, carbon markets, renewable energy, and sustainable finance. She is the Director-General of the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC), under the Presidency, a role she assumed in August 2025. The NCCC, established under the Climate Change Act of 2021, is Nigeria’s highest statutory body on climate governance and is chaired by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In this capacity, she provides strategic leadership on national climate policy, climate finance frameworks, and international climate negotiations. She also leads Nigeria’s engagement as the country’s Designated National Authority (DNA) and focal point to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), ensuring alignment between national development priorities and global climate commitments.
A recognised figure in Nigeria’s climate sector, Tenioye previously served as Financial Adviser to the NCCC and has played a consistent role in shaping Nigeria’s climate positions over the years. Her contributions include input into the UNFCCC Copenhagen draft in 2009, as well as Nigeria’s First and Second National Communications. She is a member of the Africa Group of Negotiators (AGN) for COP29, contributing across the Finance, Loss & Damage, and Article 6 negotiation tracks.
Tenioye has held senior advisory and technical roles with several international and national institutions, including the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) under the Partnership for Agile Governance and Climate Engagement (PACE), the Nigerian Infrastructure Advisory Facility (NIAF), and the United Nations’ SheTrades programme. Through these roles, she has contributed to landmark climate change legislation at both state and national levels, designed innovative green and climate finance mechanisms, and advanced gender-inclusive climate and economic policies.
She holds an LLM from the University of Warwick, with specialisation in international corporate governance and carbon finance, and is a certified ESG expert. In recognition of her exceptional leadership in shaping national climate governance frameworks, strengthening institutional systems, and influencing public policy at the highest levels of government and international engagement, she was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Public Policy (DPP), reflecting the strategic depth, policy influence, and national significance of her work.
She trained at the prestigious FRA Williams Chambers and previously served as Executive Director of ENSOL Environmental Solutions Ltd, where she established a government-recognised Centre of Excellence on Climate Change.
A member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Tenioye sits on several inter-ministerial committees, including those on Climate Change and Biofuels, and serves on multiple boards and technical working groups advancing climate policy, sustainable finance, and just transition pathways across Africa and globally. She is a strong advocate for equity, impact, and capacity building, and actively mentors young professionals in ESG and climate leadership in support of a low-carbon, climate-resilient future.

equitable development, in fulfillment of RPA’s mission in Africa, through philanthropy,

Previously, she served as Nigeria Program Director on a sponsored project at RPA, working
with government and industry stakeholders on financial inclusion reforms. Henrietta was
formerly Managing Director of ARM Financial Advisers and was also Head of Group Corporate
Transformation and executive responsible for IT and Customer Service at the ARM Group. At
Accenture Nigeria, she led Management Consulting for Financial Services and headed the
Payments and Mobility as well as Finance and Performance Management service lines. She has
served as the Chairperson of the Financial Inclusion Channels Working Group and member of
the National Financial Inclusion Technical Committee for the implementation of Nigeria’s
Financial Inclusion strategy collaborating with industry stakeholders. She also served on the
Board of Advisors for ARM Digital Financial Services (DFS). She serves as the Co-Chair of the

Etemore is the CEO of The Impact Investors’ Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded in partnership with The Ford Foundation, Africa Capital Alliance, BusinessDay Media Limited, Bank of Industry and Dalberg Advisors. She was previously the pioneer Executive Secretary of The Knowledge Exchange Centre (KEC), a non-profit organization focused on bridging the skills gap for young unemployed graduates. While at KEC, Ms Glover was responsible for translating and implementing the five-year vision and strategic plan of the organization. She has worked on several youth development programmes with the government and has a wide range of experience in banking, research, monitoring and evaluation, project management, strategy and planning.
As the head of the Impact Investors’ Foundation, she is responsible for implementing its vision and strategies, and coordinating projects. In the last year, Maria established a task force consisting of private and public sector actors in Nigeria to set up a National Advisory Board (NAB) for Impact Investing, the highest national body responsible for promoting social investments in the country and building the market infrastructure. Etemore led the establishment of the Nigerian NAB, which will be under the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment, the umbrella body with 33 NABs across 28 countries and regions. She also engages with development finance institutions (DFIs), bilateral and multilateral agencies, local and foreign investors to grow impact capital and investment in Nigeria.
She is problem-solver, learning and development strategist and trainer with extensive knowledge and experience in development and management of capacity building programmes for youths; programme evaluation; budget; fundraising strategies; leadership; NGO management and consultancy, research, finance and impact investing.
Etemore is also an MSME Consultant with over 10 years knowledge in setting up and running startups. She is an Associate Member of the Learning and Development Network International. Ms Glover holds a double honour in Economics and Education from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Leicester.
